Data
Messenger Server (DMS)
is an alert notification server that attaches itself to an existing
database while running on Microsoft’s operating system platforms. Notifications
can be sent to any Alpha LED display.
DMS
is neither a gateway nor an Application Programming Interface (API),
it is an independent server application. DMS is very flexible
and can be used for most notification purposes; send notifications when
an order is placed, send a dispatch notification upon entry into a database,
send an escalation notification when an issue has not been resolved
within a prescribed period of time.
There are no limits to the ways that DMS can be applied to your
business. If your information is of critical importance, DMS
can make sure that the related data does not fall through the cracks.
Easy
to Install
DMS
is a solution that installs out-of-the-box using the same setup program
as most Windows applications. Custom builds, staging, and consulting
fees are not necessary, thus reducing the total cost of ownership.
Easy to Configure
All notification
commands are created using standard wizards to guide a user through
the proper command setup. Once a user possesses rudimentary knowledge
of DMS, notification commands can be setup in as little as five
minutes. This short setup time is in great contrast to the time, expense,
and complexity it takes to develop a custom application, database trigger,
stored procedure, or implement a middleware solution.
No Change to Existing Applications
DMS directly
monitors one or multiple databases for specific data events resulting
in the construction of notification messages that are sent through various
transport modules. Existing applications will not be aware of DMS
nor will the applications need to be altered in any way.
Unlimited Subscriber Licensing
Your company
will not have to pay royalties or per user charges.
Resides
Behind the Firewall
DMS
is a server that is controlled by the customer and from behind the customer’s
firewall.
